‘All Saints’ Too Political?
Ah, how refreshing to hear of a liberal church coming under the aim of the IRS for political statements in an election year. You normally hear of such only when the church is conservative.
I still remember watching the Democratic National Convention for the ‘04 election and seeing Barak Obama’s pastor introducing the candidate, from his church sanctuary, with choir members standing in the background. Nothing significant ever said about such an endorsement.
I didn’t think we’d see a liberal church receive such a reprimand.
